Who issues Las Vegas sign permits: City of Las Vegas Building & Safety. Applications via MyGovernmentOnline (MGO) at lasvegasnevada.gov/permits.

Overview

Sign permits in the Las Vegas Valley are split between the City of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and unincorporated Clark County β€” which includes the Las Vegas Strip. If your business is on Las Vegas Boulevard (the Strip), you are likely in Clark County jurisdiction, NOT the City of Las Vegas. Confirm your jurisdiction before applying.

Clark County (unincorporated) governs the Las Vegas Strip. The Strip is within the Resort Corridor zone with distinct sign regulations that allow the large-scale signage characteristic of the area. For non-Strip commercial businesses inside city limits, standard commercial zone rules apply and are substantially more conservative than Strip allowances.
